Depart Amman and make your way to Mt. Nebo, where Moses looked out over the Holy Land. Then descend over 1,300 feet below sea level to the village of Ghor al Mazra’a, where you will learn how to make Arabic “shrak” bread, organic eyeliner, and “tomato in a pan” a traditional dish using all local ingredients. A portion of your trip cost goes directly to this community. After lunch, make your way to Feynan Ecolodge. You’ll spend the afternoon relaxing before taking a sunset hike with a local guide. When you return, the lodge will be lit by candles. After a gourmet vegetarian meal, lay on the rooftop terrace sipping tea and counting stars. (ON Feynan Ecolodge)
