Day 1:  Arrival
 
Airport pickup and transfer to hotel. Welcome reception.

Day 2:  Tunis, Carthage and Sidi bou Said
 
Experience the rich history of Carthage, one of the most important cities in the Roman Empire.  Spend the afternoon discovering the charm of one of Tunisia’s most picturesque villages, Sidi bou Said, with its colorful shops, bustling cafes and sweeping Mediterranean vistas.

Day 3:  Mosaics of Tunis
 
Visit internationally acclaimed Bardo Museum, containing the world’s best exhibition of Roman tile mosaics spread out over three floors in a former Byzantine palace.  Afternoon in downtown Tunis.

Day 4: Olive Oil Tasting and Tunisian Cooking in Sousse
 
Olive oil tasting and private cooking lesson with local family.  You will have the opportunity to sample several locally-produced olive oils.  Afterwards, prepare and enjoy a traditional Tunisian meal with a local family in their home.

Day 5: Vegetable Market and Private Cooking Lesson in Sousse
 
A local chef will accompany you to a traditional market within the walls of Sousse’s ancient city, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to select fresh ingredients for the evening meal.  Learn some favorite recipes in another private cooking lesson.  Experience food, family life and local traditions.

Day 6: Beach and Shopping in Sousse
 
Free day for beach and shopping.  Optional day excursion to El Jem Coliseum, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 7: The Sweets of Kairouan
 
Kairouan is known as the heart of Tunisia.  Taste traditional Arab-style sweets as we stroll the historical city (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Afterward, learn to prepare your own desserts with one of Tunisia’s most well-known pastry chefs in a family-style setting.

Day 8:  Hand Pick Olives in Zaghouan
 
Escape to the country at Dar Ezzit ranch where you will enjoy open spaces and boutique-style accommodations.  Dar Ezzit is an organic olive orchard and producer of award-winning olive oil.  Enjoy an unforgettable afternoon participating in the fall olive harvest (seasonal).  Then discover fine local flavors at Ksar Ezzit’s restaurant, which only uses organic ingredients grown locally on the estate.

Day 9:  Zaghouan / Tunis
 
Optional morning hike.  Celebrate the completion of your culinary tour with a memorable meal at a well-known Tunis restaurant in the heart of the old-walled city.

The above tour is an all inclusive land package.
The starting day represents your arrival date in Tunis.  Tour prices include transportation, lodging, most meals and entrance fees.  Prices are based on double occupancy.  Hotel single supplement is $350.  Airport pickups and transfers within Tunisia will be arranged at no charge for clients arriving and departing on the scheduled days.
