Day 1: Tunis Welcome
Arrival at Tunis/Carthage International airport. We will begin with a short walking tour of downtown Tunis, followed by a welcome reception and cultural orientation at your hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Tunis at El Mouradi Gammarth Hotel (5*)
Day 2: Carthage, Sidi bou Said with locals
Experience the rich history of Carthage, one of the most important ancient cities of the Mediterranean basin. Enjoy an authentic mint tea with friendly locals in one of Tunisia’s most charming villages, Sidi bou Said.
Dinner and overnight at Mouradi Gammarth (5*)
Day 3: Sousse Home Stay
After exploring Sousse’s ancient medina (UNESCO World Heritage site) experience true Tunisian hospitality over an authentic home-cooked meal and overnight stay with local families.
Day 4: El Jem and time with locals
Morning excursion to El Jem. El Jem Amphitheater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the largest and best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. Optional language and cultural experience with local hosts in the afternoon. Evening is free to spend more time in Sousse with local friends.
Overnight at hotel Royal Salem (4*)
Day 5: Berber Village of Toujane
Visit the Berber village of Toujane. Then continue to the edge of the Sahara Desert and saddle up for a one-hour camel trek to your campsite deep in the dunes. Evening meal and campfire under the stars. Tea and singing with local residents included!

Day 6: Tozeur Oasis
Tozeur is the grandest of all oases in the country containing over 400,000 date palms. Free afternoon with optional tours of oasis.
Day 7: Roman Speitla and Sidi bou Zid
Speitla is the best-preserved Roman city in southern Tunisia. Highlights include standing in ancient temples and Christian basilicas famous for their mosaic baptismals. Have tea or coffee with a local chef in Sidi bou Zid, the birthplace of the Arab Spring.
Dinner and overnight at hotel El Kasbah Hotel (5*)
Day 8: Kairouan, the heart of Tunisian culture
Considered by many the heart of Arab culture in Tunisia, Kairouan boasts the oldest mosque in Africa and a classic 9th century medina (both UNESCO World Heritage sites). Then to Tunis.
Overnight at Mouradi Gammarth (5*)
Day 9: Departure
The above tour is an all inclusive land package. The starting day represents your arrival date in Tunis. Tour prices include transportation, lodging, most meals and entrance fees. Prices are based on double occupancy. Hotel single supplement is $350. Airport pickups and transfers within Tunisia will be arranged at no charge for clients arriving and departing on the scheduled days.
